Manager Driving Licence Department at GOCA

At GOCA I was responsible for five experts in the driving licence department. In addition to the assessment and follow up of the experts, I was responsible for the organisation of the meetings with the driving licence sector. I made sure that the timing of the projects was respected and I managed the budget of my department. In addition, I was responsible for the functional part and the testing regarding the related IT applications.

Under my supervision my team completed following projects: from 2016 till 2018 the database of theoretical questions for the driving licences were renewed and thoroughly expanded. Between 2017 and 2018, the reforms regarding driving education and testing have been implemented in different phases in the three regions (Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels). Together with the members of the Management Team, I mapped the work processes and procedures of our department in order to improve them and for the renewal of the ISO certification. In addition to these activities, I contributed to the enlargement of the training program for examiners.

Member of the Expert Advisory Group at CIECA (for GOCA)

In order to keep up with the international evolution regarding the practical driving tests, I participated for GOCA as a member of the Expert Advisory Group (EAG) in CIECA. CIECA is the International Commission for Driver Testing, active in road safety and driver testing. As a member of the EAG I was involved in auditing the driving tests in different countries. I provided information for technical, scientific and project related questions. I’ve helped with the organisation of the annual workshop of the EAG. I’ve helped with the screening and evaluation of the papers for the programme of the annual congress of CIECA.

August 2010 – September 2016

Expert driving licence department at GOCA

After my training at GOCA to become an examiner, I started as an expert at the driving licence department. I’ve worked on the renewal of the practical tests for the motorbike, trucks and busses. I provided legal support and helped to inform all involved parties (government and examination centres) about the changes regarding the driving tests. I was functionally responsible, helped to test the new IT application and provided functional support to the users. With the implementation of the 3rd European directives in 2013, I participated in the reforms of the motorcycle driving test. I also provided the theory trainings for the examiners. After four years, I became the deputy head of the department and received more responsibilities within various advisory committees. I’ve participated in the expert group for trucks and busses, contributed to the renewal and adjustment of the theoretical and practical tests. In addition, I’ve contributed to the organisation of the refresher courses for examiners.

Recruitment consultant at Konvert Interim

As a recruitment consultant I took care of the reception, registration and recruitment of potential candidates for new jobs. I had frequent contacts with business and HR managers to match candidates with the right job. For the payroll administration I created the new contracts and did the follow up and pass on of the hours performed.

Analyst programmer at HDP via Talent-IT

For a social secretariat and payroll processing company, I followed an intensive training to become an RPG programmer. I analysed the existing code and based on requests for improvements I made corrections in existing programs.
